Ozone Applied in Desulfurization and Denitration Technology

As one of major energy sources, coal will emit sulfur and nitrogen oxides during burning process which added to the atmosphere and created acid rain. These are main problems to environment pollution.Ozone desulfurization and denitration simultaneously mainly utilize its strong oxidation property to oxidize NOx to high nitrogen oxide, and then in the washing tower it will transform NOx and SO2 simultaneously to substances soluble in the water to remove sulfur and nitrogen oxides.

Compared with the traditional desulfurization and denitration technology, ozone desulfurization and denitrification process has the following characteristics:

Investment effective

Ozone desulfurization denitration technology is combined with ammonia process flue gas desulfurization device for flue gas denitration, only in the original ammonia desulfurization absorption tower set a DeNOx section, there is no need to in addition to the construction of complex special denitration device.

Low Operating Cost

Ozone desulfurization denitration technology is to remove denitrification and desulfurization by ammonia method combined with the use of desulfurization absorption liquid as denitrification absorbents, which greatly reduced the operating costs, and catalyst and a small amount of power consumption, removal of nitrate cost less than $5 /kgNOx, SCR reduced nearly 40%.

No secondary pollution

After desulfurization, there is no need to add ammonia during denitrification process. There will be no problem of ammonia escape and DeNOx section setting is more favorable for ammonia escape control.

Stable efficiency

This method is mainly liquid phase catalysis. Only sets the DeNOx section in the desulfurization absorption tower
. Clear solution as the whole denitration absorption liquid , no problems of scaling and clogging and are distributed evenly. It is easy for operation and the efficiency is stable.
