The main purposes of using ozone to treat domestic wastewater are for disinfection, biological consumption of oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen oxygen demand (COD) reduction, nitrite, suspended solids removal and decolorization. This technology has been fully implemented.
Due to its strong oxidation property, ozone can react with organic compounds in industrial waste water, so that it is easy for biochemical degradation. Thus it is easy to make sewage harmless and clean. Method of combination of ozone and biochemical treatment process can be adopted. It can effectively remove the poisonous and harmful substances in textile printing and dyeing sewage, tannery waste water and food sewage and other chemical sewage. It can oxidize difficult-to decompose macromolecular organic matter into small molecular organic compounds for readily biodegradation.
At present, thousands of water plants over the world are using ozone for treatment and disinfection. In major cities of Europe, ozone has been used as a primary means for removing water pollution.
Ozone decolorization project of sewage treatment plant:
Ozone generator adopted by the project: 70kg in weight, VPSA oxygen concentrator as gas source, sewage water treatment 30000tons per day.
The main purpose is to reduce the chrominanceand COD of sewage treatment plant .After processing, chrominance was reduced from 130 times to 30 times below, COD to 50 or less. After water treatment, the treated water can be used as the water supply unit in the park.
